Ingredients:

  • 2 cups pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)

  • 2 eggs

  • 3 tablespoons natural peanut butter (unsalted, xylitol-free)

  • ½ cup rolled oats

  • 3 cups whole wheat flour

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

  2. Whisk together pumpkin puree, eggs, and peanut butter until well combined.

  3. Add oats and flour, mixing until a dough forms.

  4. If dough is sticky, dust your hands and rolling pin with flour. Roll dough on floured surface to ½ inch thickness.

  5. Cut into desired shapes using cookie cutters or knife.

  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

  7. Cool completely on wire racks. They will harden as they cool.

Storage:

  • Room temperature in airtight container: 6 weeks

  • Frozen: up to 3 months

Ingredient Substitutions:

  • Sweet potato puree for pumpkin

  • Brown rice flour or oat flour for wheat flour (better for sensitive stomachs)

Dog Biscuit Recipe Notes:

  • These dog biscuits combine protein from peanut butter with fiber-rich pumpkin and whole grains. Perfect for training rewards or daily dog treats.

  • Always check that peanut butter contains no xylitol, which is toxic to dogs.
